Durham Ballet Theatre

Durham Ballet Theatre is excited to present "Cinderella," a beloved tale with versions told around the world. The most well-known version is often attributed to Charles Perrault, published in 1697. Cinderella lived with her cruel stepmother and stepsisters, who made her serve them. One day, she helped an old woman who turned out to be a fairy godmother. The fairy godmother granted Cinderella's wish to attend the prince's ball, giving her a gown, tiara, choker, cape, and glass slippers. Cinderella attended the ball and danced with the prince but fled at midnight, leaving behind the glass slipper. The prince searched for her, and when Cinderella tried on the slipper, it fit perfectly. They danced together, blessed by the fairy godmother and stars.
