Walltown Children's Theatre

A quarter-century in the spotlight — and we're just getting started. Join us on Saturday, October 18 at the historic Carolina Theatre for “TWENTY-FIVE”, Walltown Children’s Theatre’s 25th Anniversary Showcase. One unforgettable night. Countless stories, voices, and visions that have shaped Durham’s arts scene for a generation.
Alumni return. Stars are born. The legacy takes center stage.
Come celebrate the past, present, and future of Walltown — where the next 25 years begin.
Walltown Children’s Theatre is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the Walltown neighborhood that provides affordable and accessible arts programming to diverse Durham youth. Founded in 2000, WCT offers high calibre multi-arts instruction in our belief that all young people should have access to the benefits of extracurricular programming and creative exploration. We remain a community-rooted organization grounded in African American cultural forms and expressions of community and offer a rich arts curriculum in dance, theatre, music, and technical production.
For 25 years our community has guided our mission: WCT inspires positive social change by empowering and reconnecting young people from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, creating a new expression of community, and enriching their lives and those of their families and communities, through exemplary performing arts instruction and youth development programming.
